KALI 2.0 Released
A very good news for pentesters and script kiddies who were going here and there with there devices installed with BT5 or Kali to hack. All the pentesting applications and framework has got new update.
First of all to be mentioned is the appearance. The background is more cooler than the hot red dragon in the famous BT5 and the black one in Kali. This time the creators of Kali are trying to be more user friendly than before. From the official site we come to know:
" So, what’s new in Kali 2.0? There’s a new 4.0 kernel, now based on Debian Jessie, improved hardware and wireless driver coverage, support for a variety of Desktop Environments (gnome, kde, xfce, mate, e17, lxde, i3wm), updated desktop environment and tools – and the list goes on. But these bulletpoint items are essentially a side effect of the real changes that have taken place in our development backend. Ready to hear the real news? Take a deep breath, it’s a long list. "
I could rate the OS 5 out of 5 (as a pentester). But in a script-kiddies' point-of-view I could rate 4 out of 5 ( because executing some kind of attacks require to remember harder commands ).
I am still analyzing the different uses of the OS and will write another Post in the near future describing the various attack methodologies.
